First time I had ever entered anything, first time winning anything, first time showing my art to the public. I cannot begin to describe how awful the photos of the event are. I literally am making a duckface/ chronically constipated/ face only a mother could love. In. Every. Single. Picture. I make that same face when I am proven right about something that someone else insisted I was wrong about. I call it “righteously smug.” Congrats on the win! It could! At least a couple of elephants make paintings that zoos sell to raise money, and they pick their own colors and whatnot, so I think some of them do.

My sons have watched a little of this, and when I read in the Official Bluey This Is What An Awesome Baba Looks Like Shirt title of the post that it was BBC I was super confused. I am American, and I’ve literally only see seconds of it, but I thought it was Australian for sure. (My wife’s seen more of it, I’m working from home so only catch moments.) One of my sons has been asking about it I’ll mention to my wife it’s on Disney+ assuming that it is in the US.  It’s such a great learning episode for kids, it shows them if you look around you can see that everybody struggles with something and sometimes we all want to give up but we just have to keep trying and we’ll get there. If you’re in Florida that’s probably an invasive Cuban tree frog and they actually eat the small green ones! We used to have dozens of the little guys but they got ate up. The UF website advises the Cuban tree frogs to be killed humanely if you find one. By like putting it in the freezer. I can’t do it. I have to go cry while my husband does it.
